Avalon Princeton is a multi-family residential development located on 5.63 acres of land, consisting of 280 dwellings with ENERGY STAR® and LEED certification. In addition, this complex contains a two-story fitness center; outdoor swimming pool; outdoor amenity area with kitchens and fire pits; an 18,000 SF community park; and an outdoor play area for children.
Colliers Engineering & Design has been part of this project since 2011 and has assisted the client through an extensive approval process and redesign to accommodate community input and allay concerns received through a series of public hearings and community meetings. The development is being constructed on the site of the former Princeton Hospital. The seven-story hospital building was demolished, with extensive environmental monitoring. The new complex will blend in better with its residential surroundings, in the vibrant and sought-after downtown Princeton area.
